Canada relied on those elements at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, as the reigning Olympic gold medalists repeated as world champions by battling to a 2-1 gold-medal win over the heartbroken Americans. Accordingly, the North American superpowers sit 1-2 in our final Power Rankings. The third-place Czechs sparked a joyous celebration, winning their first bronze medal – their first medal of any shade! – with a 4-2 victory versus Switzerland. It’s been another fun run with the Power Rankings in Herning and Frederikshavn as Denmark made history by hosting this tournament for the first time.
