A total of 92,000 tickets were purchased by fans in both phases of the draw to obtain the priority right to purchase tickets for the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Prague and Ostrava. According to the assumptions of the organizers, the greatest interest was in the games of the Czech, Slovak and Polish teams.

The organizers released 20 per cent of the total capacity of the two game arenas in Prague and Ostrava for priority sale. Apart from a few remaining tickets, all day packages allocated to the competition in Prague were sold. Approximately 80% of Slovak games were sold out. Of the other teams, the fans preferred the Polish team the most.

All unused tickets from the draw will be added to the general sale starting at 10:00 CET on Tuesday 10 October 2023 at the official 2024.iihfworlds.com/tickets. Depending on the selection of a specific game, fans will be redirected to the ticket operator's sales system. After adding tickets to the cart, each user will have a total of 5 minutes to complete the purchase. During this time, they must not leave the sales process; otherwise the position in the current order of buyers will be lost.
