The 2024 IIHF Championship Disciplinary Panel for the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II B has issued a one game suspension to Team Serbia’s Petar Peceric for violating IIHF Official Playing Rule 50.
The first incident occurred at 29:56 in the 2nd period and the second incident occurred at 36:15 in the 2nd period of Game number 9 between Serbia and Iceland.
The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that the Player, in an attempt to make a check on his opponent, did so by leading with his knee, making significant knee-on-knee contact, and therefore violated Official Playing Rule 50 (Kneeing).
Due to the suspension, the Player will miss today’s game between Chinese Taipei and Serbia.
