Tickets for the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will go on sale for the first time through a ticket draw. In the draw, you can win an opportunity to purchase day tickets for the 2022 IIHF WM games played in Tampere. Participation in the ticket draw will start on 2 September 2021. Day tickets for the games to be played in Helsinki will also go on sale on the same day.
Ticket sales for the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will start in the fall, and all the games in Tampere including the preliminary round and finals will first be available through a ticket draw. In the draw you can win the opportunity to purchase day tickets for the games played in Tampere. You can participate in the draw from 2 to 26 September 2021.
Day tickets for the games played in Helsinki will go on sale normally on 2 September. The game schedule of the 2022 IIHF WM and ticket pricing will be published at the end of August. At that time it will also be known which teams will play their preliminary round in Tampere and which in Helsinki. It is already certain that Finland will play all its games in Tampere and Russia will play its preliminary round in Helsinki.
”By drawing the opportunities to purchase tickets we ensure that getting tickets does not end up as a speed race or lead to long lines. Especially the medal games and Team Finland’s games have already gotten great interest. A draw is a fair way to get tickets and everyone has an equal chance of winning the opportunity to purchase tickets,” says Heikki Hietanen, the General Secretary of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
The draw offers a variety of day tickets at different prices
Day tickets for the ticket draw come with a wide price range, with several seating categories in use. The draw participant can choose 1–6 tickets for the desired number of tickets, i.e. a maximum of six tickets can be purchased by one participant through the draw. The draw will take place at the end of September. After the draw the winners will be able to purchase the tickets.
Leave your contact information, we will remind you when the ticket draw starts.
The remaining day tickets for the games in Tampere will go on sale at the end of October.
”We expect that most of the tickets in Tampere will be sold through the draw. It is definitely worth participating in the draw in September. You can already visit our website to leave your contact information, and we will remind you when the game schedule, ticket prices and additional information will be available and participation in the draw starts,” says General Secretary Hietanen.
Single game tickets will go on sale in February 2022.
