Helsinki Ice Hall
Helsinki Ice Hall opened in October 1966, and it is one of the most traditional ice hockey venues in Finland. It has an audience capacity of 8,200 for ice hockey game being the fourth biggest ice hall in Finland.
Helsinki Ice Hall was originally designed for the 1965 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Finland, but due to the schedule, the competitions were held at the Tampere Ice Hall. Helsinki Ice Hall has hosted the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship four times, most recently in 1991.
Traditional Liiga team IFK plays at Helsinki Ice Hall. There has also been the IIHF World Junior Championship group stage and World Championships in other sports, for example floorball and ringette. In addition to sporting events there has been plenty of concerts by top artists.
