Official Fan Zone in Riga

Hockey fans will be able to enjoy the hockey spring in a special fan zone

The Official Fan Zone of the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be in the area next to the Arena Riga - in the parking lot at the B entrance.

The Official Fan Zone is an integral part of the IIHF WM and a tradition that always gathers many thousands of fans and gives its visitors an additional sense of presence at the important hockey event. It is planned that it will receive around 10 000 guests every day. 

The Official Fan Zone is intended for visitors to the 2023 IIHF WM games, residents of Riga and guests from all over the world- it will be an opportunity to watch the games on big screen, as well as to enjoy various entertainment before and after the games taking place in Arena Riga and between them. Everyone will be welcome here- both those who will attend the games in person and city residents who will want to enjoy the unique hockey atmosphere. 

For two weeks, hockey fans will be delighted with concerts, contests, attractions, planned talks with hockey experts and parties after the games. Visitors will have access to a bar and café, will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs and visit special areas set up by official supporters of the championship. 

The Official Fan Zone will be hosted by popular Armands Simsons, Filipe Gabriels Ksavjers and Reinis Maskavs, the fans will be entertained by popular bands and musicians from Latvia- Citi zēni, Aisha, Krēsla, Mazais princis, Papīra lidmašīnas, Pirmais kurss, Vectēva papirosi, Dzelzs Vilks un Dziļi violets. Every evening at the concerts, the groups will invite you to dance of the hits of the world and ice hockey rhythm.

The area of the Official Fan Zone will be fenced off and entry is subjected to security control, but free entrance. It will welcome visitors every day from 14.00 until 01.00 (on three match days- from 10.50).
