2025 IIHF Ice Hockey W18 World Championship will be held in Vantaa Tikkurila Arena on January 4th–12th. The last time the World Cup for girls under the age of 18 was played in Finland was in 2013, so now Vantaa has a rare treat in top girls' hockey. Game tourists arriving in Vantaa have other things to see and experience in addition to hockey.

Vantaa is well known for Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, but it is much more than that. Vantaa, the fourth largest city in Finland, offers many things to see and experience: nature lovers can enjoy Lake Kuusijärvi, which is a popular outdoor recreation center both in summer and winter, and Sipoonkorvi National Park, where you can enjoy forest excursions.

Tikkurila, Vantaa's largest center, is a historically significant area where you can learn about the city's history at the Vantaa City Museum and learn about science and technology at the Science Center Heureka. Helsingin pitäjän kirkonkylä, which was mentioned for the first time already in 1351, is a cultural and historical destination where you can admire buildings from several centuries and enjoy coffee in the local Kahvitupa Laurentius.

Beloved Fazer, the maker of the iconic Fazer Blue Chocolate is located in Vaarala, Vantaa. You can visit the Fazer Experience visitor center there. The city also offers aviation history in the Finnish Aviation Museum, which is located near Helsinki-Vantaa airport and presents aircraft spectacles from different eras.
