We Are Looking for 150 Volunteers

The year 2027 will kick off with a major ice hockey event in Ostrava. From January 8–16, 2027, Poruba will host the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship. The organizers are now looking for 150 volunteers to help create an unforgettable championship for the players, team staff and fans.

The Czech junior national team has won a medal at each of the last three WW U18. At the home tournament, the Czech players will have another opportunity to compete for a medal in front of their home fans. To make that possible, they will also need great support and a dedicated team of people helping to ensure the smooth running of the entire tournament.

Volunteers will become an important part of the organizing team and will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of roles, as well as get a unique behind-the-scenes look at a major international sporting event. In addition to valuable experience and the chance to enjoy the atmosphere of a World Championship, volunteers will receive a volunteer uniform and a certificate of participation.

Most importantly, they will have the opportunity to be part of a major sporting event, meet new people and experience the atmosphere of a World Championship from a completely different perspective.

Accommodation, transportation and visas will not be provided for volunteers as part of the event.
