“We have noticed a high demand, so don’t wait if I you’d like a ticket,” says the organizing committee’s General Secretary, Mikael Haglund.

The IIHF World Junior Championship is known for offering both entertaining and action-packed hockey where the future stars will showcase their skill and talent. Here, players with completely different career destinies meet. It’s a tournament before money and stardom - but with 100 per cent glory.

“It’s young players and offensive hockey, which makes it very fun to watch. And the best experience is of course on the spot from the stands,” says Mikael Haglund. “We hope that many young hockey players can come and discover new role models.”

The IIHF World Juniors start on 26 December 2023 and the final will be played on 5 January 2024.

In Group A, host Sweden will face the defending world champions Canada, the archrival Finland as well as Germany and Latvia. This group will play at Scandinavium.

Group B will be played at Frolundaborg and consist of Czechia, USA, Slovakia, Switzerland and Norway.

The top-four teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals, where two are played in each arena. The entire championship will be decided at Scandinavium on 5 January.

The ticket sale for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship started today, 2 March 2023.
