Two weeks ago, tickets for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship went on sale and it didn't take long for the most attractive tickets to sell out.

“We knew that the demand was great, but this was beyond expectations,” says Mikael Haglund, General Secretary.

Now the organizer announces that more tickets may be released in the future.

This will be the first time in ten years that the IIHF Junior World Championship is played in Sweden, and once the tickets were released it was soon clear that this is an event many hockey fans are looking forward to. Countless fans seemed to have  set their clocks to access the website at the right time. The most attractive tickets sold out in just a few minutes.

“We knew that the demand was great, but this was beyond expectations,” says General Secretary Mikael Haglund. “This was at a level similar to ticket releases for large arena concerts!”

Now many hockey supporters are asking if there are any tickets left and if more tickets will be released in the future. There are still tickets left for the games on December 27 (FIN-GER, LAT-CAN) and December 30 (GER-LAT) in Scandinavium Arena. In addition, there are affordable hospitality packages left for several days. All exciting matches in Frölundaborg are also available.

So, for those who didn´t manage to grab some of the desirable tickets in connection with the release, hope is not lost, and Mikael Haglund also believes that it is highly likely that additional tickets will be released during the year.

“The event's partners have tickets booked, but probably not all will be used and then both we and our partners want as many fans as possible to have the chance to see the IIHF World Juniors from the stands. We want a fully packed arena,” says Mikael Haglund.
