The IIHF, founded on 15 May 1908 in Paris, France, is the governing body of international ice hockey. The IIHF features 82 member associations, each of which is the national governing body of the sport in its nation. Besides controlling the international rulebook, processing international player transfers, and dictating officiating guidelines, the IIHF runs numerous development programs designed to bring hockey to a broader population. The IIHF also presides over ice hockey in the Olympic Games, and over the IIHF World Championships at all levels, men, women, men under-20, men under-18 and women under-18. Each season, the IIHF, in collaboration with its local organising committees, runs around 25 different World Championships in the five different categories.

Sport Manager 3x3 (f/m/d) 100%

As the Sport Manager 3x3, you will play a crucial role in initiating and preparing Member National Associations (MNA’s) to build the sport from its current level to a high standard where it can be accepted as a demonstration sport for the 2030 Olympics. You will develop and implement strategic plans, collaborate with MNA’s, and work closely with various stakeholders to promote and grow 3x3 hockey globally. The Sport Manager 3x3 reports directly to the Sport Director and executes the following tasks:

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to promote and advance 3x3 hockey as a viable sport for the Olympic stage
  • Collaborate with MNAs to establish grassroots programs, training initiatives, and competitive opportunities for 3x3 hockey players
  • Provide guidance and support to MNA’s in developing coaching, officiating, and administrative capacities specific to 3x3 hockey
  • Foster partnerships with sponsors, media outlets, and potential host cities to raise awareness and generate support for 3x3 hockey initiatives
  • Liaise with relevant Olympic bodies and committees to ensure compliance with sport requirements and facilitate potential inclusion in the Olympic program
  • Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adapt strategies as needed to achieve objectives related to 3x3 hockey development and promotion
 
Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, recreation, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in ice hockey administration, coaching, or competition, with a deep understanding of the sport
  • Proven track record of successful project management in a sports or international context
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mobilize diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Fluency in English
  • Familiarity with Olympic regulations and procedures is advantageous

Technology Manager (f/m/d) 100%

The Technology Manager is part of the Technology Department and is responsible for organizing and controlling various IT related projects. The role is designed to overlook and lead projects including reporting and budgeting. The Technology Manager reports directly to the Technology Director and executes the tasks defined below:

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Collaboration, controlling and reporting of IT Projects
  • Lead business requirement analysis and Implementation of new IT applications
  • Aligning IT solutions and infrastructure with current and future goals
  • Maintaining close business relationships with the IIHF IT partners and suppliers
  • Drive digitalization and modern Workspace environment
  • Collaboration in projects and assisting the Technology Director in miscellaneous tasks

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated and open-minded team player with good technical and social skills, who brings the following requirements:
 
  • Higher education in a relevant discipline e.g. IT, business IT, project management
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid background in IT project management
  • Strong technical skills
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Management skills and team spirit
  • Fluency in English is required, German is a plus (written and spoken)
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Good communication skills with a positive, motivated attitude and service-oriented way of working
