The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), founded in 1908, is the worldwide governing body for ice hockey with 84 member associations. In addition to overseeing international rules, officiating, player transfers, and development programs, the IIHF organizes ice hockey at the Olympic Games and runs over 35 World Championship tournaments each year across men’s, women’s, and junior categories.
