Seminar in Mongolia and Bulgaria

At the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Asia and Oceania Championship in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II, Group B in Sofia, Bulgaria, two Partnership for Progress seminar of the season were run after the first ones in Halifax and Östersund.

During the U18 Asia and Oceania Championship in Mongolia a Partnership for progress event was hosted for Referee In Chiefs for the countries from the surrounding MNAs with the focus to educate and develop the people in charge of the national officiating programs. Focus over the 3 days was to create a reflection and learning environment from the participants and the IIHF expertise on officiating program development and also the various tools and support functions from the IIHF towards the national programs.



Participants came from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China and Malaysia and was also supported by the Asia and Oceania sport manager Harald Springfeld and IIHF vice president Aivaz Omorkanov. 

In Sofia, about 25 coaches from the participation teams and from local coaches were joining Integrity session run by IIHF INTEGRITY OFFICER Naomi BLOETJES and Development Director Kalle Väliaho. The presentation goals were to provide information different aspects of Integrity and provide tools how coaches can make sure that the coaching environment is safe and positive. 

This season the IIHF Development and Top Mentorship Committees allocated 10 different tournaments where it is planned to hold different seminars together with the host organization. The next seminars will be held during different events in April.
