From January 19–23, 2026, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will bring together its global ice hockey community for a dedicated week focused on integrity. Through the campaign “Holding the Line Together” the IIHF will spotlight awareness, open dialogue, and shared responsibility, reinforcing the collective commitment to protecting and strengthening the sport.
The IIHF’s new campaign, “Holding the Line Together” underscores the Federation’s continued commitment to safeguarding the game through its core integrity values: fair play, respect, accountability, transparency, and safeguarding. These values shape decisions at every level of the sport and help ensure that ice hockey remains fair, safe, and trusted around the world.
This year’s campaign will showcase the collective involvement of the entire IIHF community - from players, officials, and coaches to administrators, volunteers, and federation leaders - all of whom play a critical role in upholding integrity both on and off the ice. Through storytelling, digital engagement, and shared reflections, “Holding the Line Together” emphasizes that integrity is not the responsibility of a few, but a commitment held by all..png)
Luc Tardif, President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), underscored the importance of this shared effort:
“Integrity is not just a principle - it is a daily commitment. Whether on or off the ice, holding the line means making the right decisions, even when they are not the easiest ones. Integrity Week is an opportunity for our entire community to reflect, speak up, and reinforce the values that keep our sport fair, respectful, and strong.”
Throughout the week, IIHF platforms as well as those from Member National Federations (MNAs) around the world will feature campaign messages, community voices, and real-world examples of integrity in action. These highlights will reflect how the IIHF’s integrity pillars are applied in everyday situations - from competition and officiating to governance and athlete welfare - demonstrating that protecting the game requires consistency, courage, and collaboration.
Participants across the global hockey family are encouraged to engage with campaign content, share perspectives, and contribute stories that illustrate what it means to hold the line. Information on available resources, reporting mechanisms, and ongoing integrity support will also be shared to ensure that awareness leads to action.
The “Holding the Line Together” campaign is not a one-time event - it is a reminder of a continuous responsibility. Together, the IIHF community holds the line for our sport, today and into the future.
