The Winter Universiade is organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) every two years and includes men's and women's ice hockey tournaments.

The most recent editions were staged 2013 in Trentino, Italy, 2015 in Granada, Spain and 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan (Men/Women).
