Anders Larsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 4 March 1977. Larsson has a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.  He was elected on the IIHF Council in 2021. In his business career Larsson has been holding leading positions within Human Resources and People Development in some international companies, most recently in the MedTech industry.

Larsson has been involved in ice hockey as a referee, learning instructor and administrator since 1992. It all started in the ice hockey club Brynas IF and the regional ice hockey association. After seven years in the Officiating Committee, Larsson was 2004 elected Board Member of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association. In 2015 he was elected President of the organization, a position he is holding since then.

Before being elected to the IIHF Council, Larsson was a member of the IIHF Competition & Coordination Committee 2016-2021. He is also strongly involved in the Swedish Olympic Committee in his role as elected Vice-President. In addition to that, Larsson is also Chairman of the Employer’s Alliance, which is the organization making all collective bargaining agreements with the unions of all sports in Sweden. In 2024, the Swedish Government appointed Anders Larsson as Board Member of the Mid Sweden University.
